The division of Otolaryngology at the University of Alberta offers a fellowship to qualified applicants interested in Rhinology / Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery.

The successfull Fellow will have an opportunity to work in the Alberta Sinus Centre.

Fellowship Application Information

Our Fellowship has entered into the match process sponsored by the American Rhinologic Society. We are the only Canadian Programme doing so. For more information on the match procedures and process please see www.sfmatch.org

To apply for our Fellowship in Rhinology / Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery, you will need to submit a letter of interest, current CV, and letters of reference.

Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta is preferable. For more information about registration requirements visit their web site at http://www.cpsa.ab.ca/physicianregistration/physician_registration.asp

Applications are accepted beginning September 1 with the application deadline February 1. Interviews will take place between September and May. Rank list submission and Match Day typically occurs early in June. The Fellowship runs for one year from July 1 to June 30.

Current Fellows

 

We would like to welcome Dr. Chris Diamond as the incoming fellow for 2008/09.

Our 2007/2008 fellow is Dr. Raj Bhalla. Dr Bhalla received his MBChB from the University of Leicester, England in 1995 and was awarded his MRCS(Eng) in June, 2001. Currently, Dr. Bhalla is a SpR in Otorhinolaryngology at the North Manchester General and Booth Hall Children's Hospitals (Manchester, England).
